Leinster start their 2007/2008 campaign with a 9-6 victory over Cumbria in Penrith today. Full results below:

Terenure Badminton Centre was buzzing with shuttles as the schools badminton season got underway with the LBBUI Youth Activity Committees, U/19 Mixed Tournament.

CMF Badminton Club held their 1st Christmas Invitation Tournament in Terernure Badminton Touranament on Saturday, November 17th.

A record 38 countries will be represented at next months Yonex Irish International Badminton Championships....

Vets from all corners of Ireland took to the courts in the Baldoyle Badminton centre, last Saturday 10th November, in the Leinster Vets Open.

Terenure Badminton Centre hosted the Irish Juniors last weekend. Once again there was a big entry for this event.

At the youngest U/11 age-group, there were several stories to be told. Mark Gannon who is the 3^rd generation of Gannon’s to play badminton, with his Dad “Niall” who played for Ireland and has a doubles National title, whilst his grandparents Christy and Mary (Coach) can still be seen at many a tournament around the country, ps.Uncle David can hit a shuttle or two I think!!!!!!!!!!!

On the last day of the Dublin Badminton Open many competitors and their parents travelled to Terenure College. The final day was set aside for our young stars with the U/13 and U11 age groups battling it out for prizes.

Caroline Oliver of Maryfield College Drumcondra took the double at the Dublin Open over the bank holiday weekend. Oliver was seeded No.1, following her win in the Ulster U/17 Singles and Doubles titles in Lisburn (Ulster) a few weeks ago.
