This award is in recognition of a player leaving the juvenile ranks. The Youth Activities Committee (YAC) vote for the player who deems to have shown outstanding sportsmanship, skill and achievement through the various stages of under age badminton.
Adam has just turned 17 years of age and is a student of Terenure College; he has played badminton since he was 12 years of age. Adam has a sister Jessica that plays badminton now in UCD, and both his proud parents Bernie and Nikki are known to have hit a shuttle or two.
Adam is also a very talented Hurler and footballer for Ballyboden St Enda’s and last year he won an U16 title with the famous GAA club. Adam is a member of Ailesbury BC and played for their Premier team in the Dublin & District league this season.
Once again congratulations to Adam who has joined a list of elite past winners like Frank Egan(1971),Conor Doyle(1976),Orla Smyth(1981),David Hogan Jrn(1990),Eddie Cousins(2000),David Tutty (2007), Laura Butler(2008) and last year’s winner Leanne Kelly.
