9 Badminton courts in the Watershed Kilkenny.......Results
The Leinster U13 Inter-County tournament was played in the relatively new “Watershed” which is a multi-activity sports and leisure complex located on the Ring Road in Kilkenny.
Twelve county teams from around Leinster travelled to play in this event on the Sunday 28th February 2010, it was the first time an under age inter county event was played outside Dublin in recent time, which is great forward thinking by the YAC’s committee hopefully ,this will happen more often.
Teams travelled from, Wexford, Louth, Dublin, Kilkenny, Wicklow, Laois, Kildare, and Offaly and it was a super day out for all our future stars.
Leinster President Breda Connolly a native of Abbeyleix was in attendance and complimented the organisers, players, coaches and Managers for making it a great day for Leinster Badminton. Also David Hogan chairman of the YAC,s thanked the Kilkenny duo of Martin Madden and Shirley Parr for organising this event in Kilkenny.
