Irish Veterans Championships in Baldoyle Badminton Centre last Saturday
Some great play in the Baldoyle Centre......
A great Vets tournament was held last weekend in our Baldoyle Centre with one or two great names from the past playing in their first Irish Vets tournament. A lot of the stall wards were there in force making their presence felt, as you all know preparing for the European Senior Championships that will happen later in the year in the Dundalk Ice Dome in September 2010. Craig Casey (BI President) thanked all the players and tournament organisers for running once again a great tournament and also mentioned that Badminton Ireland is going through a transition time in the organisation so interesting times ahead.
Leinster represented their province very well and listed below in the various age groups are some of the winners. All winners can be seen on www.tournamentsoftware.com.

Trivia: Grandad Trevor Topping won the +65 mens singles,Son Mark Topping won both the +40 Mens & Mixed Doubles and the next day in the “B” Juvenile Leinster tournament grandson Jamie Topping won his first singles tournament !!!
