With effect from the start of the 2008/09 season, Badminton Ireland intends to implement a uniform national grading system for all players.

This will greatly facilitate inter-club, inter-county and inter-branch competitions which, as many people will be aware, are difficult to operate because of the different grading arrangements across the country.

There is a proposal that we consider grading players as Senior, Junior, Minor and Intermediate.

However, we would like to hear from anybody – branch, county or player who might have a better solution and we would ask for any submissions to reach us before 1 January 2008.
